Area code 805

Area code 805 is an area code in the state of California. It covers parts of the Central Coast and some inland areas, such as Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Santa Maria, Oxnard, and Paso Robles. Area code 805 was created in 1957 as a split from 213. It was split from 661 in 1999, and then overlaid by 820 in 2018.^[1]
